196 exam sites complete preparations for high school graduation exam

In the 2024 high school graduation exam, Hoan Kiem district has 2,085 candidates registered to take the exam at 4 testing locations located at schools: Viet Duc High School, Tran Phu High School, Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School and Nguyen Du Secondary School.

Principal of Tran Phu High School - Hoan Kiem Tran Thi Hai Yen said: Tran Phu High School's exam site has 22 official exam rooms and 2 backup exam rooms.

The school has reviewed and carefully checked the conditions of facilities and equipment; in which, the storage of exam papers and test papers is given special attention, ensuring the requirements of separate exam cabinets and test paper cabinets. Each cabinet has separate compartments to store exam papers and test papers for each exam session; there are labels clearly stating the information of the compartment and cabinet containing exam papers and test papers for each session to avoid confusion.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Cau Giay District Examination Steering Committee, informed: There are 12 examination sites in the district with nearly 7,500 candidates registered for the exam, including nearly 250 independent candidates. The examination sites have prepared plans to support candidates throughout the process of attending the examination site as well as in transportation and necessary items for the exam...

In the 2024 high school graduation exam, the whole country has more than 1 million candidates registered to take the exam, nearly 47,000 of whom are independent candidates. Hanoi has about 109,000 candidates registered to take the exam, accounting for more than 1/10 of the country and is the locality with the largest number of candidates taking the exam.

To better serve the exam organization, the city arranged 196 exam sites in 30 districts, towns and cities with more than 4,500 exam rooms; including 201 combined exam rooms, 176 waiting rooms and nearly 400 backup exam rooms. The city also mobilized more than 15,000 officials, teachers and staff to participate in exam supervision; nearly 600 officials and teachers to grade exams and nearly 600 officials and teachers to inspect exam supervision at exam sites; established 12 teams to inspect exam organization...

As an exam taking place on a large scale with special significance, thoroughly implementing the spirit of the National Exam Steering Committee, the Exam Steering Committees at all levels of Hanoi City have given the highest priority to conditions for organizing the exam safely, seriously, effectively, in accordance with regulations, thoughtfully and friendly.

Through actual inspections and reports from the Steering Committees of the examinations of districts, towns and cities in the city, it is shown that all examination sites ensure all safety conditions; the preservation of exam papers and test papers is closely monitored. The examination paper and test paper preservation room is equipped with security cameras to monitor and record activities in the room; there is a police force assigned to be on duty and guarded 24 hours a day and a plan to ensure absolute security and safety inside and outside the examination sites.

Acknowledging the careful and serious preparation of the schools that set up the exam sites, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the High School Graduation Exam in Hanoi Pham Quoc Toan requested the District Steering Committee to continue to pay attention, create conditions and provide maximum support in all aspects so that the exam can achieve its set goals, focusing on caring for candidates with difficult circumstances and preparing contingency plans to deal with unusual situations.

With the spirit of creating maximum convenience for candidates, 196 examination sites in the city actively coordinated with the local examination steering committee to arrange the best conditions for the exam, especially for independent candidates, candidates with difficulties and disadvantaged candidates.

Relevant departments and branches also synchronously implemented the plan according to the assignment of the City Examination Steering Committee, ensuring stable power supply; traffic flow; maintaining security and order outside the examination sites; having plans to ensure safety and confidentiality in the exam printing and transportation areas...

By the afternoon of June 25, 100% of testing sites in Hanoi had completed preparations for facilities and safety conditions, ready to welcome candidates.

According to the plan, at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (June 26), the examination sites will have a meeting of invigilators. At 2:00 p.m. the same day, candidates will go to the examination room to complete the examination procedures. The 2024 high school graduation exam will officially take place on June 27-28, 2024.
