Two deaf and mute twins in Thanh Mien have been supported with more than 52 million VND.

The children have only had surgery on one ear. Their journey to recovery is still long and they need more support from the community.

As of May 20, the family of two congenitally deaf and mute twin boys, Truong Quang Anh and Truong Quang Dat (born in 2024, Hong Quang commune, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province) received more than 52 million VND in support from benefactors.

With the above support, the family borrowed more money to take the two children for surgery. However, due to difficult conditions, the two children were only able to have surgery on one ear. Currently, their health has improved. According to the doctor's instructions, about 1 month later, the children will have surgery on the other ear. When their health is stable, the cochlear implants will be activated so that the children can gradually learn to listen and speak.

The road for Anh and Dat to be able to hear and speak is still very long. They still need the community's help, because the cost of their cochlear implants is up to billions of VND, while their family is poor, and their parents and uncle are also deaf and mute.
