Regarding the incident of mixing alcohol with water to drink as a substitute for alcohol, on June 11th, Dr. Ma Nhon Khiem, Head of the Intensive Care and Toxicology Department at Ca Mau General Hospital, stated that patient KVT (53 years old) is still in a coma, while the other two patients have regained consciousness, their health is stable, and they will be discharged in a few days.

Accordingly, at noon on June 9th, patients KVT and KXN (50 years old, both residing in Tan Dien B hamlet, Thanh Tung commune, Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province) were admitted to Ca Mau General Hospital in critical condition and required dialysis. By the evening of June 10th, patient KXB (33 years old) was also brought to the hospital by family members for emergency treatment in a serious condition.
The patients' families said that two days before being hospitalized, all three, along with another person, drank alcohol together. After finishing the alcohol they had bought, they took a bottle of hand sanitizer and mixed it with water to continue drinking.
The following day, all four individuals experienced headaches, fatigue, and vomiting, but did not seek medical attention. Subsequently, one person died at home, prompting their family to admit the other three patients to Ca Mau General Hospital.
