200 billion VND to build infrastructure and roads for Phu Tho Racecourse and sidewalks of the roads

On the morning of May 27, the People's Committee of District 11 held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build infrastructure and traffic routes for the Phu Tho Racecourse area, and at the same time completed the renovation and repair of sidewalks on Le Dai Hanh, Nguyen Thi Nho and Lu Gia streets.

According to the People's Committee of District 11, the project to build infrastructure for Phu Tho Racecourse has a total investment of 200 billion VND from the city budget, expected to be completed in 2026.

Director of the District 11 Construction Investment Project Management Board Tran Anh Tuan said that this is a specific implementation step of the 1/2000 zoning plan approved by the City People's Committee in 2018, aiming to form a high-quality cultural - sports complex to serve the community.

The project includes the construction of 5 new internal roads over 2km long, designed with 2 to 6 lanes, connecting major roads such as Le Dai Hanh, Lu Gia, Ly Thuong Kiet and Ba Thang Hai, contributing to reducing traffic congestion. Phu Tho Racecourse area is over 48 hectares wide, was the venue for the 22nd SEA Games in 2003, after more than 25 years, this place continues to be planned to develop into a complex of sports, culture, services, and high-rise residential areas, in preparation for the 2026 National Sports Festival.

In addition, the project also expands works such as Phu Tho Park, Traditional Arts Center, housing for coaches and athletes, along with the expansion of Nguyen Thi Nho Primary School. These projects will create conditions to promote socio -economic development, improving the lives of people in the area.

On the same day, the People's Committee of District 11 also completed the project to repair and renovate the sidewalks of Le Dai Hanh, Nguyen Thi Nho and Lu Gia streets with a total investment of 15 billion VND from the city budget. The total length of the renovated sidewalk is more than 3.3 km, with an average width of 4-5m, contributing to improving the urban beauty, creating a spacious and modern appearance for the district's gateway.
