25 majors of 9 Vietnamese higher education institutions in Vietnam have been ranked by QS World University Rankings. Notably, 3 schools have very high ranked majors including: Petroleum Engineering of Ho Chi Minh National University; Hospitality and Entertainment of Duy Tan University; Performing Arts of Van Lang University.

These 3 industries are in the world top 100.

Ranked by school, Vietnam has 6 training facilities in the QS World ranking (ranking of universities in the world), an increase of 1 training facility compared to last year.

In the QS Asia University Ranking, Vietnam has 17 schools. This number includes 10 schools that increased in rank, 5 schools that decreased in rank and 2 schools that were ranked for the first time, Vinh University and Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

Leading this group is Duy Tan University at 127th place, up 12 places compared to 2024.

Hanoi National University ranked 2nd at 161st, down 16 places compared to 2024.

Ho Chi Minh City National University ranked 3rd at 184th, down 34 places compared to 2024.

The rankings of Vietnamese universities on THE World University Rankings are different.

In which, in the first time participating, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics had the highest ranking, in group 501-600.

Following are Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University, both ranked in the 601-800 group.

Hanoi Medical University and Ho Chi Minh City Open University were ranked for the first time, in the 801-1000 and 1,201-1,500 groups, respectively.

In 2025, Vietnam will have 9 higher education institutions listed in THE World University Rankings, the highest number ever. 6 schools will maintain their rankings from last year, while the remaining 3 schools are "new faces".
