34 winning works of the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024"

The photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam 2024” organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will exhibit and award prizes to outstanding works at 8:00 p.m. on December 11, at the Hanoi Opera House.

The event will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television's foreign television channel VTV4, livestreamed on VTV Digital channel and on the Vietnam image promotion platform - https://vietnam.vn.

This is the second time the photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam” has been held. The contest is a vivid demonstration of the deep concern and consistent policy of our Party and State for the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of the people, taking the people as the center, in the spirit of “leaving no one behind” and creating all favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, promote their capacity and intelligence in the work of building, developing, protecting the Fatherland and international integration of the country. At the same time, the contest also creates opportunities for people across the country, our overseas Vietnamese and international friends to express their love for their homeland and country and their enthusiasm in creating photos and videos to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world , arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy nation; promoting cultural values ​​and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

After nearly 7 months of launching, the contest has attracted 6,863 authors with 10,327 photos and videos , including 9,657 photos and 670 videos. Notably, there are 581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad with nearly 1,000 works and more than 50% of the authors have participated in the contest in 2023. The jury and the Organizing Committee have selected 60 videos and 150 excellent photos to display at the exhibition, and awarded prizes to 34 of them.

According to the Organizing Committee, each work is an interesting story, an impressive moment or a meaningful message about love for the homeland, country, with pride, with love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life throughout Vietnam. After the award ceremony, the selected works will continue to be exhibited at home and abroad in 2025, serving the communication work to promote Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights./.
