On November 26, in Ha Giang city, a conference on educational exchange between four Vietnamese border provinces, including Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and the Zhuang Autonomous Region (Guangxi province, China), took place.
According to the report at the Conference, in recent years, the implementation of cooperation program agreements between four border provinces of Vietnam and the Zhuang Autonomous Region (Guangxi Province, China) has contributed to building and developing friendly relations andeducational cooperation between the two countries.
Through the signing of memorandums of understanding, education managers of four Vietnamese border provinces have the opportunity to exchange, meet, and share experiences with education managers of Guangxi Province. Many students are granted full scholarships to study at universities in the two countries. In 2024, the Zhuang Autonomous Region granted scholarships to four Vietnamese border provinces; Ha Giang Province alone was granted 18 university scholarships and 2 master's scholarships.
With the theme: "Continuing to improve the effectiveness of the educational cooperation model between five Vietnam-China border provinces in the new period", the conference spent a lot of time discussing, exchanging and proposing solutions to improve the effectiveness of the cooperation program. Many contents were put forward such as: Providing scholarships to each other, organizing annual exchange conferences between the two sides periodically; removing difficulties and obstacles in educational cooperation; regulations on exchanging information of international students; shortcomings in policies that need to be adjusted in the coming time; enhancing exchanges and cooperation through conferences, seminars and organizing visits to advanced educational models of the two sides to learn from each other; organizing cultural and sports exchanges for teachers and students at all levels through summer camps in Guangxi, China and four border provinces of Vietnam.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Education and Training of four border provinces of Vietnam and the Department of Education of the Zhuang Autonomous Region; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Giang province signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2024 on developing friendly relations and cooperation in education between four border provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
The Memorandum of Understanding includes the following contents: Continuing to maintain exchanges and cooperation between the parties; enhancing exchanges and cooperation between colleges, universities, and educational institutions; enhancing the work of sending students to exchange and study with each other through providing scholarships; organizing conferences, seminars, scientific research cooperation in the fields of education and vocational education, implementing training linkages, etc.
In 2025, the Conference on Educational Exchanges between the Four Border Provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China will be held in Guangxi Province.
