On September 26, representatives of 4 international schools under Khai Sang Corporation came to the Tuoi Tre newspaper office to donate 763,078,832 VND to support people affected by storm Yagi and floods in the North.
This is the amount contributed by managers, teachers, staff, parents and students of four international schools under Khai Sang Corporation (including: E MASI Nam Long and E MASI Van Phuc International Bilingual Schools, E MASI Plus Waterpoint International Bilingual Boarding School, IGS HCMC German International School).
Spread the lesson of love
The sharing week at the four international schools above not only calls on students, parents, teachers... to contribute materially. "This is an opportunity for students to have experiences beyond books, spreading lessons about humanity. Every small action during this week not only contributes to helping those in difficult circumstances, but also sows noble values in their souls. That is compassion, empathy and the desire to contribute" - Mr. Kenneth Haggarty, Executive Director of E MASI Van Phuc School, shared.
So during the sharing week, students actively volunteered to participate in the program "Cold ice cream, warm heart" (students sold ice cream to raise funds for charity), drew pictures and auctioned them, wrote letters to students affected by Typhoon Yagi and made love trees...
Mr. Clauspeter Wollenweber - Principal of IGS HCMC - said: "Before launching the Sharing Week, we had a meeting with the students. We provided them with information, images, and videos about Typhoon Yagi and its terrible devastation in some northern provinces. From there, the students could sympathize, sympathize, and join hands to implement the Sharing Week."
Contribute all the money in the piggy bank to support flood victims

"I broke open my piggy bank and got 520,000 VND. This is the money my mother and grandparents gave me every time I helped my mother with housework. I decided to bring all this money to school to contribute to help my friends in the North affected by Typhoon Yagi.
Actually, at first I felt a bit regretful because I had planned to save this money to buy toys. But after seeing the pictures of houses flooded by storms and floods, and students unable to go to school, I felt so sorry for them.
My mother also said that when we know how to share with others, our joy will be greater. I hope that they will soon be able to go to school and have happy days like us" - Tran Phuong An, a student of class 1A, E MASI Nam Long School expressed.
Mr. Luke Turner, Executive Director of E MASI Nam Long International Bilingual School, shared: "Most of the students at E MASI Nam Long are well-off, so it is not difficult to ask them to contribute to the fund. More importantly, the school wantsto educate students to have a sense of responsibility towards the community and empathy for the disadvantaged... This is one of the factors that contributes to the comprehensive development of education for students."
Love and empathy

Dr. Huynh Cong Minh - General Principal of E MASI School System - said: "Love and empathy are one of the core values of E MASI School System. Sharing Week has clearly demonstrated this orientation. For example, at E MASI Plus Waterpoint International Bilingual Boarding School (Long An), to implement Sharing Week, students were divided into sub-committees.
Specifically, the propaganda subcommittee will spread information about storms and floods, folk songs and proverbs expressing the spirit of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", "Many red leaves cover the mirror. People in the same country must love each other"; the subcommittee will mobilize parents and students to support the charity fund...
