On October 9, Hung Thinh General Hospital received and treated 40 students from Lao Cai College with symptoms of poisoning such as nausea, vomiting, and headache. Some patients with additional symptoms of fever are being monitored and treated at the Emergency Resuscitation Department.
Previously, on the morning of October 9, 3 cases with symptoms of fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, and loose stools were admitted to this hospital for monitoring and treatment. That afternoon, 3 more students were admitted to the hospital with similar symptoms.
After receiving the above information, Lao Cai College conducted a review and sent 34 more students with poisoning symptoms to the hospital for further monitoring and treatment.
According to initial information, most of the patients developed symptoms and were hospitalized after having dinner on October 8 at the school cafeteria.
Currently, the patients are being monitored and treated, and their health is stable.
At the same time, the provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department has taken food samples stored in the school canteen and sent them to the authorities for testing, awaiting results.
