With the theme “I am Uncle Ho's soldier”, this year's “Semester in the army” program attracted 42 young people to participate, from June 16 to 22.
The program features the following contents: Basic training and improving military discipline;educating on traditions, patriotism and the spirit of readiness to fight for the country; building the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and sense of discipline; equipping life skills, social skills; participating in cultural and artistic activities, sports, folk dance practice, etc.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union - Hoang Thi Thuy Linh said: The program aims to educate patriotism, arouse national pride in children; thereby, contributing to raising the awareness of the young generation towards society, promoting the responsibility of "Protecting the Fatherland early, from afar; defending the country when the country is not yet in danger" according to the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. At the same time, creating a useful and practical learning environment and equipping knowledge and skills; orienting children to a healthy, simple, cultured lifestyle, being responsible for themselves, their families and society.
