Comrade Do Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and representatives of central, local and Mekong Delta press agencies attended.
Speaking at the meeting, the leader of the Can Tho City People's Committee reviewed the history of formation and achievements of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press over a century.

Can Tho City leaders hope that press agencies, media, journalists, etc. will continue to accompany the city in implementing the Party's Resolutions and the State's legal policies on socio -economic development, ensuring national security and defense; encourage and motivate good deeds, criticize and contribute ideas on shortcomings, limitations, and shortcomings for mutual development...
Regarding this year's Phan Ngoc Hien Journalism Award, the Organizing Committee received 290 entries from more than 100 authors and groups of authors.
Among them, there are many authors and groups of authors working at resident agencies, representative offices of central press agencies located in the area and press agencies of provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

The entries vividly reflect the political , economic, cultural, social, defense and security aspects of the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and Can Tho city.
In particular, focusing on reflecting on good models and effective practices in the fields of social life; policies for ethnic minorities; social security issues; anti-corruption and anti-negativity work; digital transformation, green growth, sustainable development, construction of key projects, etc.
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 48 works including: 8 First prizes, 8 Second prizes, 16 Third prizes, 16 Encouragement prizes in the categories of print, visual, audio and photojournalism.
