FPT's 5 new strategic technologies include Quantum AI, UAVs, and railway technology.

FPT announced its Strategic Technology Steering Committee, focusing on five key areas: Quantum AI, UAVs, railway technology, data, and cybersecurity.

TheFPT Strategic Technology Steering Committee is chaired by Chairman Truong Gia Binh, with CEO Nguyen Van Khoa as the permanent vice-chairman.

This is seen as a strategic move by FPT in the context of Vietnam considering science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of development in the coming period.

Among the five strategic technology units, the Quantum AI and Cyber ​​Security Research Institute (QACI) is particularly noteworthy – one of the first quantum technology research centers of a Vietnamese enterprise.

The institute, headed by Professor Dr. Ho Tu Bao as Scientific Director and Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Xuan Bach as Director, focuses on research, development of solutions, and training of high-level personnel. FPT plans to invest $100 million in QACI.

In the UAV sector, the market is projected to reach approximately $10 billion by 2035. FPT established FPT UAV, headed by Mr. Vu Anh Tu, the Group's Chief Technology Officer.

FPT aims to be deeply involved in the development of the low-income economy, an emerging sector linked to logistics, smart cities, and defense and security.

Railway technology is another highlight in FPT's new technology strategy.

FPT Railway Mobility Technology, led by Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the Group, inherits FPT's capabilities in complex industrial systems requiring continuous operation and high safety standards.

In the data sector, FPT DC5, headed by Mr. Pham Duy Phuc, aims to build a "accurate - complete - clean - vibrant" data platform to serve governance, develop the digital economy, and enhance user experience.

Meanwhile, FPT Cyber ​​Security, led by Mr. Pham Tung Duong, Director of Information Security at FPT Software, focuses on building a cybersecurity ecosystem, contributing to ensuring safety and autonomy for the digital environment.

According to FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, the world is entering a period of strong technological transformation, where AI, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and quantum technology play a decisive role.
