5 high-tech marine farming households in Dam Bay are granted licenses for marine aquaculture

On the morning of May 22, Mr. Le Dinh Khiem - Head of the Department of Fisheries, Seas and Islands said that the department has just granted a license for marine aquaculture to 5 individuals in Phuoc Long Ward (Nha Trang City) to raise aquatic products at sea using high technology in the Dam Bay area (Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City). These are the first individuals in the province to pioneer high-tech marine aquaculture in the sea area from 3 to 6 nautical miles and to be granted a license for marine aquaculture.

Specifically, Mr. Bui Van Hoi, Le Cong Suat, Vu Trong Hung, and Huynh Thi De Thuong were granted licenses to raise yellowfin pompano on an area of ​​1,000m2 of water surface/household, with an expected output of 20 tons/year/household; Mr. Vu Khac Muoi was granted a license to raise yellowfin pompano and cobia on an area of ​​1,000m2 of water surface, with an expected output of 30 tons/year.

After being granted a license for marine aquaculture by the Department of Fisheries, these households will continue to carry out procedures to be assigned a marine aquaculture area in Dam Bay area.
