On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Nicaragua's La Primerisima radio station published a series of articles about the historical significance of this important event, especially emphasizing the consistent message "Vietnam is one" of General Secretary To Lam .

According to the VNA correspondent in Latin America, the website of La Primerisima radio respectfully publishes the full text of the article “Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one” by General Secretary To Lam, which affirms that the moment the Liberation flag flew on the roof of the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975 went down in national history as a great event - the day the South was completely liberated, the country was unified, and the mountains and rivers were reunited.

La Primerisima quoted General Secretary To Lam as affirming: “It is not only a great victory of the Vietnamese people in the difficult and arduous resistance war against the US to save the country, but also a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, of the will for independence, self-reliance and the strength of great national unity.”

The article reiterates the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh : “Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one. Rivers may dry up, mountains may erode away, but that truth will never change.”

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Uncle Ho's words were not only a sacred declaration of sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also a torch to light the way, a source of inspiration and strength for every generation of Vietnamese people during the arduous and fierce years of war.

Radio La Primerisima also carried vivid news and images of the festive atmosphere in the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, where people were excitedly celebrating “victory over an army once considered invincible.”

The article emphasized that “The historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which lasted 55 days and nights, not only ended the most fierce war of modern times, but also marked the birth of a new Asian 'tiger' - a resilient, unified and developed Vietnam.”

Nicaraguan media was particularly impressed by the image of the young generation of Vietnam - people born after the war but still proud of their national history: "Young people in traditional ao dai in pure white or bright red printed with the national flag, children in green military uniforms - all embody the spirit of 'Vietnam is one' that General Secretary To Lam affirmed."

La Primerisima, one of Nicaragua's leading progressive media outlets, also paid tribute to the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

The article emphasized: “Under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho, the aspiration for unification became a great spiritual strength, uniting the entire people to overcome all difficulties, regain independence in 1945, expel the colonialists in 1954 and unify the country in 1975.”

Radio Nicaragua reviewed Vietnam's impressive achievements after half a century of unification, with an economic growth rate of more than 7% by 2024, and especially the development of the capital Hanoi with "countless shops, schools, large and small businesses, new residential areas," while still preserving the typical ancient features around the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area.

La Primerisima affirmed: “The April 30 victory is not only a source of pride for Vietnam, but also a global symbol of the aspiration for freedom. The message ‘Vietnam is one’ by General Secretary To Lam continues to be a guiding torch for the Vietnamese people on the path of development and international integration.”

Through this series of articles, Nicaraguan media once again expressed deep admiration for the indomitable spirit, strong will and aspiration for peace and unity of the Vietnamese people, while affirming the contemporary value of the message of national solidarity "Vietnam is one" in the current context./.
