587 cases of traffic safety violations during the April 30 holiday

According to the report of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, during the 50th anniversary holiday of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1) this year, which lasted for 5 days (from April 30 to May 4), the number of people and vehicles participating in traffic on the routes passing through the province increased dramatically, especially the gateway routes and key areas for tourism , entertainment and recreation. However, thanks to the proactive and synchronous implementation of remote and early solutions, the situation of order and traffic safety in the province was basically stable.

Traffic Police of the Provincial Police regulate and direct traffic at some key intersections on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

In particular, on the first and last days of the holiday, traffic density increased, the authorities proactively deployed plans to assign forces at 15 key intersections, promptly commanded, controlled, and divided traffic, preventing prolonged traffic congestion, ensuring order and traffic safety in the province, well serving the travel needs of the people.

The Provincial Traffic Police force propagates to people to raise awareness of obeying the law when participating in traffic.

Also during the 5-day holiday, there were 3 traffic accidents and collisions in the province, killing 2 people and injuring 2 people (down 1 case, down 1 death, equal to the number of injuries compared to the same period in 2024). Along with that, the Traffic Police force in the whole province has increased patrols, controls, and strictly handled violations. As a result, during the 5-day holiday, the Traffic Police force in the whole province detected and recorded 587 administrative violations, fined 1.468 billion VND, revoked 3 driving licenses; deducted driving license points from 143 cases; and temporarily detained 57 vehicles of all kinds.
