80 trainees attended training on RCEP Agreement and official export standards

Comrade Pham Phuoc Trai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, delivered the opening speech at the training course.

The training course was attended by 80 trainees who are officials and civil servants in state management agencies; leaders and managers of enterprises in the province.

During the training, the trainees were informed by lecturer Hoang Ngoc Oanh, International Economic Expert of the Vietnam Trade Economic Development Consulting Center - Vietnam Trade Economic Information and Consulting Association about the overview of the rules of origin in the new generation Free Trade Agreements (CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, RCEP); issues that localities and businesses need to pay attention to; import and export in the context of the new generation Free Trade Agreements setting criteria; things to note about the legal aspects for businesses; solutions to improve the competitiveness of businesses when participating in the new generation Free Trade Agreements...

The RCEP Agreement was signed by 10 ASEAN member countries and 5 partner countries, namely Japan, Korea, China, Australia and New Zealand, in November 2020, and officially took effect from January 1, 2022. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 01/QD-TTg dated January 4, 2022 approving the RCEP Agreement Implementation Plan; in which, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to preside over and urge ministries, branches, localities and business representative organizations to implement the plan, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 197/QD-BCT dated February 17, 2022 promulgating the Agreement Implementation Plan.

The training course was also introduced by lecturer Hoang Ngoc Oanh with an overview of the Government 's implementation plan of the Agreement and the plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; taking advantage of opportunities from the RCEP Agreement to promote diversification and increase exports; taking advantage of opportunities and overcoming challenges from the RCEP Agreement; directions to promote the export of Vietnamese goods to RCEP regional markets; difficulties and challenges in exporting fruits and vegetables to the Chinese market; solutions to promote the export of agricultural products from Vietnam to RCEP regional markets...

Through the training course, officials and civil servants in state management agencies; leaders and managers of enterprises in the province will improve their knowledge and skills in policy consulting in accordance with local practices and international economic integration trends; enterprises in the province will recognize and have a comprehensive view of legal issues, ensuring that the interests of enterprises in international economic integration are implemented synchronously, making good use of the great opportunities brought by the RCEP Agreement...
