Comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung, former Politburo member and former Chairman of the National Assembly, spoke at the book launch ceremony "80 years of National Assembly Foreign Relations - From Theory to Practice".

“What is valuable and meaningful is that this book comes to readers thanks to the personal efforts and dedication of author Ngo Duc Manh, from the great idea to the determination to compile and publish the book in time for the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly's founding,” said comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung.

The book has many sources of information, documents, and archives that have been painstakingly researched, systematized, and selected by the author from many different sources to try to present and analyze as fully as possible the foreign affairs activities of the National Assembly, from the position, role, and characteristics of the National Assembly's foreign affairs, to bilateral and multilateral foreign affairs and international treaties with specific evidence and sharing from insiders, making the content of the book more attractive and highly convincing.

At the book launch, many opinions of former leaders of the National Assembly, former Ambassadors, and leaders of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security, and Foreign Affairs affirmed that the political and legal basis for implementing the National Assembly's foreign affairs is the Party's foreign policy and the provisions of the Constitution and laws. The author focused on analyzing the authority of the National Assembly in the field of foreign affairs; the position, role, and explanation of the connotation of the National Assembly's foreign affairs: the subjects and methods of conducting the National Assembly's foreign affairs associated with the legal status of the National Assembly. This is both a unique feature and a strength of the National Assembly's foreign affairs that we need to continue to promote. The National Assembly's foreign affairs have been constantly innovated, active, and proactive, making an important contribution to the cause of building, protecting, developing, and comprehensively integrating the country.

The final part of the book opens a new chapter in the development journey of the National Assembly's foreign affairs with the author's reflections on lessons learned, directions and solutions to continue improving the effectiveness of the National Assembly's foreign affairs activities in the new era.

Through each section and section of the book, readers can clearly see the steps of maturity and innovation of the National Assembly's foreign affairs associated with the inheritance, development and innovation of the National Assembly over the past 80 years. The context of the domestic and international situation, the Party's foreign policy... on that basis, deploying the National Assembly's foreign affairs activities in each period highlights the important participation and contribution of the National Assembly's foreign affairs to the successful implementation of the Party and State's foreign policies and guidelines.

All of this shows the indispensable role of the National Assembly in the increasingly deep international integration process of our country. In particular, from his experience in foreign affairs, the author draws successful lessons, presents directions and solutions to continue to elevate the level of the National Assembly's foreign affairs in the new era, the era of national growth, showing that the development of the National Assembly's foreign affairs is unceasing and indispensable in a vibrant world.

With rich content, profound analysis and reasonable, scientific layout, this monograph is not only a valuable source of information for delegates, National Assembly agencies and relevant agencies and organizations in their work, but also for those interested in learning and researching the history of formation, development and innovation of the National Assembly's foreign affairs; serving the research, teaching and communication work about the National Assembly and its foreign affairs activities...
