On the afternoon of November 13, at the special national relic site of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, the Golden Book Registration Ceremony of excellent valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi took place.
This is an activity in a series of programs to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in the city in 2025, organized by Hanoi.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung - Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union said that the Golden Book registration ceremony for the excellent graduates of 2025 respectfully recorded the names of 95 outstanding faces of the capital's youth, the golden seeds that are sowing seeds for the future of the country.
According to Mr. Hung, the title of Excellent Valedictorian is a proud milestone in his life, and also the beginning of a new journey of intelligence, courage and responsibility to the community, the capital and the country.
Mr. Hung hopes that the excellent valedictorians will always maintain their youthful enthusiasm, inquisitive spirit and desire to contribute, always confidently moving forward with their own abilities and mettle.
"You are typical representatives of today's young generation in the capital - the generation that dares to dream, dares to act and is ready to shoulder the responsibility of building an increasingly rich, civilized and modern Hanoi," Mr. Hung expressed.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year, the ceremony honored 95 excellent graduates. Among them were many young party members, “5 Good Students” at all levels, role models who overcame difficulties to rise up, possessing scientific research works that won national and international awards, along with many creative and practical initiatives and solutions in study and life.
Notably, Tran Thanh Nam (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) achieved a perfect score of 4.0/4.0 and a master's scholarship in the PhD Track program at the Polytechnique de Paris Institute (France).
Ta Quang Cong (People's Security Academy), a typical face in the armed forces, won the title of "5 Good Students" at the Central level and many certificates of merit from the Minister of Public Security .
Thieu Ngoc Mai (National Economics University) has a GPA of 4.0/4.0, won the master's scholarship at Warwick University (ranked 72nd in the world); is an artificial intelligence engineer (AI Engineer) at Viettel AI since her 4th year of university.
2025 is the 23rd year that Hanoi has organized a ceremony to honor the valedictorians of excellent graduates from universities and academies in the area. To date, the program has honored 2,351 excellent valedictorians and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Hanoi People's Committee.
The program to honor the excellent graduates of the year 2025 will take place on November 13-14, with many activities. These include the Ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; the incense offering ceremony at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; the exchange program between excellent graduates and outstanding students of Chu Van An High School; the Golden Book registration ceremony for excellent graduates of universities and academies in the city.
