On the afternoon of November 13th, at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam National Special Historical Site, a ceremony was held to register the names of outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi in the Golden Book of Outstanding Students.
This is part of a series of programs organized by Hanoi to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and colleges in the city in 2025.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, the ceremony to inscribe the names of 95 outstanding valedictorians graduating in 2025 respectfully records the names of 95 exemplary young people of Hanoi, the golden seeds sowing the seeds for the future of the country.
According to Hung, the title of Outstanding Valedictorian is a proud milestone in his life, and also the beginning of a new journey of intellect, courage, and responsibility to the community, to the capital city, and to the country.
Mr. Hung hopes that the outstanding valedictorians will always maintain their youthful enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and desire to contribute, and always confidently move forward using their own abilities and character.
"You are the quintessential representatives of today's young generation in Hanoi – a generation that dares to dream, dares to act, and is ready to shoulder the responsibility of building a Hanoi that is increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern," Mr. Hung expressed.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's ceremony honored 95 outstanding valedictorians. Among them were many young Party members, "Excellent Students" at various levels, role models who overcame difficulties and achieved success, possessing award-winning scientific research projects at national and international levels, and numerous innovative and practical initiatives and solutions in their studies and daily lives.
Notably, Tran Thanh Nam (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0 and a scholarship for a PhD Track program at the Polytechnique de Paris (France).
Ta Quang Cong (People's Security Academy), a prominent figure in the armed forces, received the "Excellent Student" award at the central level, along with numerous commendations from the Minister of Public Security .
Thieu Ngoc Mai (National Economics University) achieved a GPA of 4.0/4.0, won first place in a master's scholarship at Warwick University (ranked 72nd in the world); and has been an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Viettel AI since her fourth year of university.
2025 marks the 23rd year that Hanoi has organized the ceremony to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and colleges in the city. To date, the program has honored 2,351 outstanding valedictorians, awarding them Certificates of Merit from the Hanoi People's Committee.
The program to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating in 2025 will take place over two days, November 13-14, with many activities. These include a ceremony to report achievements to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; a ceremony to offer incense at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; an exchange program between outstanding valedictorians and exemplary students of Chu Van An High School; and a ceremony to inscribe the names of outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in the city into the Golden Book.
