According to records, Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, with Mr. Do Van My as Principal and legal representative, has committed many violations in food processing and supply.

Specifically, the school kitchen did not meet technical standards, violated food safety regulations, and caused food poisoning to more than 5 people, but it was not serious enough to warrant criminal prosecution. In addition, the owner of the facility and the person directly processing the food did not have a certificate of training in food safety knowledge.
Previously, at around 4:30 p.m. on September 25, 2025, in the school kitchen, the food supplier prepared braised pomfret - the cause of 40 students being poisoned. Test results from the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang confirmed that the fish sample tested positive for Bacillus cereus bacteria, the agent causing food poisoning.
In addition, Mr. Do Van My was determined to have no food safety training certificate and used two untrained employees to directly prepare meals for students.
The leader of the Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee said that the case had many factors that exceeded the authority of the commune level, so the file was sent to the Provincial People's Committee with a request for direction. The handling was based on the conclusions of the Police, the Department of Health, the Department of Education and related units to ensure compliance with procedures and legal regulations.

Regarding Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue , Vice Principal of the school, the Commune People's Committee has temporarily suspended her from work twice. The second suspension ended on November 13. According to regulations, the suspension period can only be applied a maximum of two times; until there is an official conclusion from the authorities, Ms. Hue will return to work.
The case is currently being investigated by the authorities to determine the responsibilities of individuals and groups involved.
