An Giang: More than 6,000 people walk "Moving forward with Vietnam"

On the morning of August 16, at Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia Ward (An Giang Province), the walking activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" took place, with the participation of thousands of people from departments, branches, sectors, and enterprises of the province, Rach Gia Ward and Vinh Thong Ward.

People gathered at Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia Ward to watch the national flag raising ceremony, sing the national anthem, and move forward together for a united, strong and sustainable Vietnam.

The walking activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" was organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

This is an activity organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in 34 provinces and cities, with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.

In An Giang , more than 6,000 people gathered at Tran Quang Khai Square to watch the national flag raising ceremony, sing the national anthem, and march together for a united, strong, and sustainable Vietnam.

People of Rach Gia ward responded to the walking activity "Moving forward with Vietnam" on the morning of August 16.

Immediately after Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, launched the campaign, thousands of people at Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia Ward, started walking from Ton Duc Thang Street to Hoang Van Thu Street, returning to Tran Quang Khai Square, with a walking distance of about 2,000 - 3,000m.

Officials, workers, civil servants, union members and youth in Rach Gia ward enthusiastically participated in the walking activity "Moving forward with Vietnam."

The activity “Moving Forward with Vietnam” carries the message “1 billion steps towards a new era” - a practical activity demonstrating patriotism, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the country's Net Zero goal.

This is also a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a special moment when the whole country is entering a new stage of development along with the rearrangement of administrative units.

The activity “Moving Forward with Vietnam” is not only a sports event responding to the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” and the movement “Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland”, but also a journey of millions of hearts beating together, a place where all generations and all classes of people from the Central to local levels, from urban to rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas converge.

Each locality contributes its strength and joins hands for a great goal: For a united, strong Vietnam, ready to step into a new era - the era of national aspirations, of the spirit of progress for a powerful future.
