An Giang passes resolution regulating new allowances and subsidies for militia and self-defense forces

At the 3rd Session, on September 26, 2025, the People's Council of An Giang province, term X, 2021 - 2026, passed a Resolution stipulating monthly allowances for hamlet, quarter, and quarter team leaders and daily labor allowances, and additional allowances for militia and self-defense forces in An Giang province.

The subjects of this Resolution are: Hamlet, area, and quarter team leaders; regular militia forces; mobile militia, on-site, air defense, artillery, marine, reconnaissance, information, engineering, chemical defense, and medical forces when there is a decision to mobilize, deploy to perform tasks or carry out tasks according to a plan approved by a competent authority.

Accordingly, hamlet, area, and quarter team leaders receive a monthly allowance of 2.7 million VND/person/month.

The Resolution also stipulates the level of daily allowances and additional allowances for militia and self-defense forces when there is a decision to mobilize, assign to perform tasks or carry out tasks according to a plan approved by competent authorities.

Accordingly, the regular militia; mobile militia, on-site militia, air defense, artillery, marine, reconnaissance, information, engineering, chemical defense, and medical forces are subsidized for labor days equal to 327,600 VND/person/day; in case the term of performing the obligation to participate in the militia and self-defense forces is extended according to the decision of the competent authority, the subsidy level will increase by 163,800 VND/person/day.

In case the militia performs tasks of counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, crime suppression, dispersal of protests and riots; prevention and control of dangerous epidemics in areas at high risk of infection; rescue, firefighting, and disaster response in areas dangerous to life according to the decision of competent authorities, the allowance level increases by VND 163,800/person/day.

The Resolution takes effect from September 26, 2025.
