On the afternoon of November 15, at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, the Hanoi Department of Tourism organized the Hanoi Ao Dai tourism parade in 2025, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
This is the 7th time the program has been organized, and is also one of the highlight activities within the framework of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival (Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025), directed by the Hanoi People's Committee and coordinated by the Department of Tourism.
The colorful traditional parade moved through the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, creating a vibrant cultural space in the middle of Hanoi's autumn.
This year's festival brings together many famous designers from the North, Central and South regions, fashion brands, traditional craft villages, design and art training schools, and handmade accessory establishments, creating a rich cultural experience for locals and visitors.
Within the framework of the Festival, many Ao Dai shows, Ao Dai design competitions and art performances are held throughout with the participation of many ages from teenagers, children, students, designers, professional models to a large number of women in the Capital, creating a colorful Festival, spreading widely in the community.
With a scale of 1,400 people, the festival vividly recreates traditional Vietnamese costumes, from the five-panel ao dai, the Nhat Binh ao dai to the Giao Linh ao dai, the Vien Linh ao dai, all of which have been researched, collected and meticulously restored by traditional costume groups.
The event gives viewers the feeling of stepping into a time journey, admiring the history of Vietnamese costumes through the centuries.
The parade gathered more than 1,000 participants, including artisans from Trach Xa craft village - the homeland of traditional ao dai sewing; the Vietnamese Costume Festival Project Group "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh"; Hoan Kiem ward; the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club of Hanoi City and other units along with a large number of people and tourists.
The parade was divided into many groups according to themes: Vietnamese traditional costumes through the ages; traditional costumes of 54 ethnic groups on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of "Independence - Freedom - Happiness"; traditional costumes of the Ly - Tran - Le - Nguyen dynasties; ASEAN traditional costumes group on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam joining ASEAN; community group responding to "Hundred Flowers Walk".
Each block has its own unique character, creating a vivid cultural picture, bringing visitors back to the flow of national history.
In parallel, the double-decker bus tour "Touching Autumn in Hanoi" offers visitors an interesting experience when admiring the capital in soft ao dai.

The Ao Dai Parade is the activity that concludes the exciting days of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival with rich and meaningful activities, attracting positive responses from the community and high social influence. Through this program, the Capital's tourism industry wishes to honor and promote the intangible cultural heritage of Ao Dai, converging and spreading the cultural values of Vietnamese Ao Dai; arousing national pride and love for Ao Dai among the people and tourists; linking the preservation and promotion of heritage values with tourism development.
