The victory over Quang Nam Club also marked the 100th match milestone of Coach Vu Hong Viet leading Nam Dinh Club, with 52 wins, 22 draws and 182 goals scored by his students.
Two consecutive V-League championships
Winning 3 convincing points at Tam Ky Stadium in Round 25 also helped Nam Dinh extend their unbeaten streak of 14 matches, including 10 wins in the second leg of the V-League this season. Helping Nam Dinh football write a new page in history with 2 consecutive V-League championships. Nam Dinh Club's V-League championship victory last season was largely due to the top foreign players in the domestic league, including Rafaelson and Hendrio. The duo of Brazilian players turned Nam Dinh into the team with the most powerful attack in the tournament and suited the attacking style of play that coach Vu Hong Viet had built.

In the 2024-2025 V-League season, Nam Dinh Club had to work hard in many arenas and made fans in the South worried because of the loss of human resources at the end of the first leg, when key strikers such as Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson) and Nguyen Van Toan suffered serious injuries while playing for the Vietnam national team in the 2024 ASEAN Cup. That was also the reason why the team at Thien Truong Stadium was eliminated early from the National Cup, AFC Cup and many times lost the top position in the V-League rankings.
However, Mr. Viet has demonstrated his ability to use people wisely, rotate the squad appropriately and change tactics to steer Nam Dinh Club back in the right direction.
A new look
When Hendrio left the team and Xuan Son and Van Toan suffered long-term injuries from the second leg, coach Vu Hong Viet boldly tested domestic players to take over the position. And Ly Cong Hoang Anh, Lam Ti Phong, Nguyen Van Vi, Nguyen Tuan Anh... all completed their assigned tasks excellently.
Coach Vu Hong Viet was famous in the youth arena before accepting to lead Nam Dinh Club from phase 2 of the 2022-2023 season. In the first season, this young coach could only help Nam Dinh successfully stay in the league. The following season, Nam Dinh took on a new look thanks to a team of highly qualified foreign players, becoming a formidable force in Vietnamese football.
"During this season, there were times when Nam Dinh faced many difficulties, especially when the force was affected by injuries. In many matches, the team only had enough players to play. But thanks to our unity, we overcame everything. I am really surprised and happy with this achievement" - Coach Vu Hong Viet said.
The coach born in 1979 made Nam Dinh football fans happy when he continuously achieved achievements in the domestic arena, including: 2 V-League championship titles, National Super Cup 2023-2024. Coach Vu Hong Viet was also honored as the best coach of the 2023-2024 season and was voted the best coach of the month 4 times.
