On November 8, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Festival took place at the Edion Hisaya Plaza Park stage, Nagoya city, Aichi province, Japan.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Omura Hideaki, Governor of Aichi Prefecture, Ms. Hirose Noriko, Tourism Ambassador of Ho Chi Minh City in Aichi, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Festival in Aichi 2025.
Representing Vietnam were Mr. Tran The Thuan, member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Tran Mai Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Cao Thi Phi Van, Deputy Director of the City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC).
Mr. Tran The Thuan, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, delivered the opening speech of the program.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran The Thuan affirmed that the friendly relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Aichi province has always been nurtured with sincere feelings, trust and effective cooperation in many fields.
He expressed his hope that through music , dance and cultural colors, Ho Chi Minh City artists will send to Japanese friends a message of friendship, sharing and aspirations for the future.
A performance in the art program
At the opening ceremony, artists from Ho Chi Minh City performed special art performances, expressing the national identity of Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City with artists: Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, artist Dinh Nhat Minh, Music Producer Khanh, artist Mai Anh, artist Doan Minh Tai, Artist Le Hung - Nha Hieu, puppetry group of the Art Center, dance group ABC....
The art program on the evening of November 8 took place at Edion Hisaya Plaza Park, Nagoya city, Aichi province, Japan, attracting the participation of more than 10,000 spectators.
Artists such as Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, singers Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung, To My, music producer Khanh and dance group ABC brought an emotional musical "party", combining tradition and modernity.

Within the framework of the festival, the Organizing Committee has also arranged a space to display and introduce traditional cultural products and promote tourism. This is an opportunity to introduce the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends.
