Hanoi National University advances registration schedule for 2026 capacity assessment exam

Hanoi National University said that the capacity assessment exams are expected to take place from March 7 to May 24, 2026 in 8 provinces and cities.

8 localities including Hanoi , Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh.

The registration schedule for the 2026 competency assessment exam will be moved forward by about 2 months compared to 2025. Accordingly, candidates will create an account to take the exam from November 25 to December 27, 2025. Candidates can only choose 1 exam session in each exam session. The registration time is expected to be from 9:00 on December 28, 2025 to 16:30 on February 7, 2026; it may end earlier when all the exam seats have been registered by candidates. The system only allows an account to log in and operate on one computer device at the same time.

The Hanoi National University's aptitude test is conducted on a computer. The test lasts 195 minutes and includes two compulsory parts: mathematics - data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and literature - language (50 questions, 60 minutes). In the third part, candidates choose between science and English (50 questions, 60 minutes).

In 2025, nearly 90,000 candidates took the aptitude test organized by Hanoi National University. After that, about 100 schools used this result for university admission.
