Ba Che commune has actively implemented many solutions to concretize the content of Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU on sustainable socio-economic development, ensuring solid national defense and security in communes, villages, and hamlets in ethnic minority, mountainous, border, and island areas for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. Including increasing the rate of households using clean water for daily life in the area, overcoming difficulties caused by sparsely populated, many areas have complex terrain

In the period of 2021-2025, with the attention and support of the province, in Ba Che district (formerly), 93 new projects have been launched in all fields with a total investment of 2,000 billion VND. Of which, 18 projects are in the field of irrigation - clean water, which have made an important contribution to synchronizing the local infrastructure system, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development, and investing with focus and key points. In addition, the locality also renovated, upgraded and built 29 new clean water supply works, providing more than 2,500 rural households with access to clean water that meets standards.
The clean water supply project in Thanh Son commune, now Ba Che commune, was invested in, completed and put into use at the end of October 2023. The project was implemented with funding from the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and the local budget. Currently, the project is supplying water for 135 households in Khe Long Ngoai and Thanh Cong villages, contributing to raising the rate of households in the area using clean water that meets standards to 74%.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau, Khe Long Ngoai hamlet, Ba Che commune, shared: Many years ago, my family and many households in the village had to use water from the stream. It was very far and difficult to bring water from the stream for use; in many places the power line was up to 2km long. In the dry season, the stream dried up, so people had to carry water for daily activities. People longed to use clean water for daily activities. Since the end of 2023, with the government's investment in bringing clean water to every household, everyone is happy and excited because it not only ensures health but also people no longer worry about water shortages or the expense and hardship of the dry season like before.
Mr. Ninh Van Nam, Manager of the Ba Che Commune Clean Water Supply Project, said: In addition to supplying water to households, the project also supplies water to schools, medical stations... In order for the project to be effective, recently, the Commune People's Committee has established a management board, a management team and consulted with people to build water prices suitable to local practical conditions, which have been agreed upon by the people.
In order to increase the rate of households using clean water, with the support of the provincial budget, in March 2023, the Khe Tam reservoir project in Nam Son commune with a capacity of 1.2 million m3 and a total investment of 120 billion VND was implemented. After more than 1 year of implementation, by April 2024, the project was completed and put into use, ensuring the supply of domestic water for households in Don Dac and Nam Son communes (old)... Along with that, many projects to renovate and upgrade the clean water system have also been started in Na Lang and Khe Vang villages (former Don Dac commune), Khe Na and Khe Put villages (former Thanh Son commune)... These projects were put into use, contributing to increasing the rate of rural households using clean water from 68% to 78.2%.
In the coming time, Ba Che commune will continue to focus on directing the effective implementation of poverty reduction according to the province's poverty standards; directing the effective implementation of education , health, employment, and social assistance policies; supporting residential land, production land, and domestic water for poor and disadvantaged ethnic minorities... In particular, in the field of domestic water, the locality will focus on implementing the Rural Clean Water Supply Project until 2025; ensuring that by the end of 2025, over 75% of households in ethnic minority and mountainous areas will use clean water that meets QCVN 01-1:2018/BYT standards. The locality will also focus on mobilizing all resources to invest in and develop centralized and decentralized domestic water supply infrastructure for ethnic minority, mountainous, border, and island areas; At the same time, regularly inspect, review and evaluate centralized water supply works to develop maintenance plans, propagate and mobilize people to use clean water, and improve the quality of life for the people.
It can be seen that many urgent projects and works in the commune have been and are being implemented, completed and put into use, contributing to synchronizing the infrastructure network, creating a driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the commune, improving people's lives and forming a new, increasingly spacious and modern rural appearance.
