Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung works with Hiep Thanh Commune Police

On the morning of November 10, within the framework of the working program in Lam Dong province, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited and worked with Hiep Thanh Commune Police.

On behalf of Lam Dong Provincial Police, Major General Truong Minh Duong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Police, along with comrades in the Standing Committee, the Provincial Police Board of Directors; representatives of relevant professional departments and local authorities attended.

Reporting to the working delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huu Son, Head of Hiep Thanh Commune Police, said that over the past time, the unit has strictly maintained the on-duty regime, closely followed the area, promptly advised the Party Committee and authorities to synchronously deploy measures to ensure security and order.

The commune police proactively grasp the situation, strengthen crime prevention right from the grassroots; organize regular patrols and controls, promptly handle arising incidents related to security and order. Criminals and drug users in the area are regularly screened and inspected. All violations are detected and handled thoroughly.

The unit also proactively coordinates with the government, families and schools in managing groups of young people who show signs of gathering and violating the law. Thereby, it has helped to significantly reduce crimes against social order, down nearly 32% compared to the same period in 2024.

The management of residence, citizen identification and administrative procedures are carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and creating convenience for the people. The commune police also strengthen measures to ensure traffic safety and order, fire prevention and fighting in the area.

The movement "All people protect national security" continues to be strengthened and expanded. Many self-management and self-defense models have been effective, contributing to maintaining stability and security at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hiep Thanh Commune Le Nguyen Hoang expressed his appreciation for the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and Lam Dong Provincial Police when choosing Hiep Thanh Commune as a destination in the working program.

The Party Secretary of the commune affirmed that the Party Committee of Hiep Thanh commune will continue to lead and direct the commune police force to promote the achieved results, proactively and comprehensively deploy all aspects of work, contributing to maintaining security and order, serving the socio -economic development tasks of the locality.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Hiep Thanh Commune Police in the context that the unit still faced many difficulties, especially during the period when the locality implemented the two-level government model.

According to the Deputy Minister, maintaining security and order at the grassroots level requires the communal police force to be truly proactive, courageous and flexible in handling daily work.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Commune Police are the front line, directly contacting and resolving most of the incidents that arise in people's lives. Therefore, officers and soldiers must regularly practice their skills, grasp the law, improve their situation handling skills and the ability to assess and forecast situations.

Early detection of signs of conflict and complex security and order factors is crucial in prevention work, avoiding passivity and surprise. Along with professional duties, the Commune Police force must maintain a close-to-the-people style, closely follow the grassroots, listen to people's opinions to promptly advise and resolve emerging issues.

In the key orientation for the coming time, the Deputy Minister requested Hiep Thanh Commune Police to continue to improve the quality of consulting Party committees and authorities; maintain effective crime prevention measures; promptly handle incidents related to security and order right at the grassroots level.

The Deputy Minister paid special attention to the work of propaganda and mobilization of families and schools to coordinate in managing and educating young people. Thereby, minimizing the risk of law violations and social evils.

Regarding drug crimes, the Deputy Minister requested the unit to strengthen its grasp of the situation, manage the area, proactively detect suspicious points, and prevent the risk of forming complex hotspots early. Along with professional tasks, the Deputy Minister requested the unit to continue to focus on Party building, strengthen internal inspection and supervision; tighten discipline and order, and ensure that each officer and soldier is exemplary in implementing regulations, etiquette, and behavior.

Coordination with departments, branches, organizations and core forces at the grassroots level needs to be closely maintained to promote combined strength in maintaining security and order.
