In order to support people to access e-commerce, promote the consumption of agricultural products and local products, recently, Nga Bay city has supported 250 households to open accounts and put their products on the e-commerce platform Felix Vietnam; buudien.vn... Currently, 24 typical local products have been put on the platform. Among them are many typical agricultural products such as seedless lemon, Thai jackfruit, durian, honey kumquat, along with seedlings and handicrafts such as Nga Bay bamboo cups. These are potential products, highly appreciated by consumers.
From doing business individually, "taking the profit and taking the loss", now when playing the role of "captain" of Son Phu Agricultural Cooperative, Ms. Nguyen Kim Toan, in Nga Bay city, has made even more efforts. Taking us to her family's rambutan garden, where she placed the beekeeping box, Ms. Toan said that she initially planned to only collect honey for family use, but then realized that this model was effective, she and her family boldly expanded it. From the initial 10 beekeeping boxes, she has now developed over 130 boxes.
The highlight of Ms. Toan's model is its circular and environmentally friendly operation. The garden uses a smart irrigation system using solar power; natural fish ponds. Irrigation water is mixed with fertilizer and pesticides in an automatic system. Fallen rambutan leaves are collected and composted into organic fertilizer, then returned to nourish the soil. On the shore, hundreds of beehives help pollinate, providing delicious honey, creating additional income. Thanks to knowing how to effectively exploit the links in the green production chain, Ms. Toan's model brings in a revenue of about 500 million VND per year.
Ready to operate 2-level government
Nga Bay City People's Committee said that in the first 6 months of 2025, the locality has achieved a number of outstanding results such as: 5 targets achieved and exceeded; Party building work has been strengthened, the political system has been streamlined, operating effectively and efficiently; leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members have been enhanced; solidarity and democracy have been promoted; mass mobilization activities, the Front, and mass organizations have had many innovations, creating consensus among the people.
The administrative reform index increased in points and ranks year by year, in 2024 the province was ranked third, the level of digital transformation was assessed as excellent; total production value of regions increased compared to the same period; total retail sales of goods, trade and service revenue increased by 13.45%; budget revenue increased by 63.33%, of which domestic revenue increased by 22.17% over the same period. The rate of people participating in voluntary social insurance increased by 35.98% over the same period; political security, order and social safety were maintained...
However, there are still some difficulties such as: The facilities and equipment of the commune and ward police are still lacking, not ensuring the implementation of some newly assigned tasks; no new cooperatives have been established; the rate of people participating in health insurance decreased by 4.35% compared to the same period.
The locality has completed the draft political report of the two new wards and approved the second draft report with the members of the Working Group for Documents of the Provincial Party Committee's Steering Committee 4606. The Standing Committee of the Nga Bay City Party Committee directed the Working Group for the Congress of Party Delegates of the (new) wards, term 2025-2030, to absorb, edit according to comments and complete the draft Political Report through the Document Subcommittee according to Plan No. 01-KH/TGVVK of the Provincial Party Committee.
The content of the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing a 2-level local government in the area and the personnel plan always strictly follow the conclusions and guiding documents of the Central and Provincial Party Committees, especially the arrangement of cadres in accordance with Conclusions No. 1220-KL/TU, Conclusion No. 1218-KL/TU and specific guiding documents of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board. It is expected that 226 cadres and civil servants at district and commune levels will be present at the time of the arrangement. The staffing plan for the new Nga Bay ward is 126 staff, and the new Dai Thanh ward is 126 staff.
Regarding the current plan to arrange public service organizations under the City People's Committee, we are waiting for instructions from competent authorities. In the coming time, after the project and personnel plan have been agreed upon by provincial and competent authorities, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee will promptly lead and direct the implementation, following the correct procedures and order prescribed in the conclusions and instructions of the Central and Provincial Party Committees.
Mr. Le Hoang Xuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nga Bay City, said that the preparation of physical facilities at the workplace ensures that the new apparatus operates continuously, interconnectedly, and effectively. With the agreement of the provincial leaders, Dai Thanh ward headquarters is located at the current City Administrative Center; Nga Bay ward headquarters is expected to be arranged at 3 locations: the current Nga Bay ward headquarters (government block), the Department of Education and Training (Party Committee block), and Lai Hieu ward headquarters (Fatherland Front block).
“The Standing Committee has focused on directing strongly, establishing inspection teams for communes and wards to grasp and encourage the implementation of the work of editing and digitizing archives at district and commune levels. Up to this point, the work of editing and digitizing archives has been completed, ensuring the set progress,” Mr. Le Hoang Xuyen added.
Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, highly appreciated the quality of the models in the city. At the same time, she hoped to continue to lead the propaganda work on political tasks in the last 6 months of the year so that people and cadres, civil servants and public employees can feel secure when the 2-level local government comes into operation. Promote the digitalization of documents and files. Enhance the role and responsibility of leaders in performing political tasks, ensuring political security, order and social safety in the area.
