Nearly 60 patients, including people in difficult circumstances, children with congenital disabilities or diseases of the motor system, were examined and had orthopedic surgery performed by the delegation of Sala Humanitarian Club and doctors of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Yen Bai.

From June 4 to 6, 2025, in Yen Bai province, Sala Humanitarian Club in collaboration with doctors and nurses of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, VietCal medical team (USA), Da Nang City Progress Fund and many accompanying units have implemented a series of medical examination and treatment activities; awarded scholarships, gifts and supported teaching equipment for poor students and teachers in mountainous areas of Yen Bai province. During the three days, the doctors examined nearly 60 patients, mostly poor people, children with congenital disabilities or diseases of the motor system. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Khanh, Deputy Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, President of Vietnam Orthopedic Association, Head of Sala Humanitarian Club, and American experts examined people in Yen Bai province. During the three days, doctors examined nearly 60 patients, mostly poor people, children with congenital disabilities or diseases of the motor system. In addition to medical examination and humanitarian surgery, patients also receive gifts and travel expenses support. In particular, the doctors have successfully performed more than 10 difficult orthopedic surgeries, including hip and knee replacements and many other complex techniques performed for the first time in Yen Bai. These are surgeries that change patients' lives, connecting medicine between Vietnam and international friends.
Doctors visit and give gifts to encourage patients after surgery. Within the framework of the program, the working delegation also traveled to two disadvantaged schools in Van Yen district: Cau Quach village school (Mau Dong commune) and Trung Tam village school (Xuan Ai commune). The delegation presented 200 school backpacks sponsored by Ladoda Company, 20 Ngo Van Toan scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties (each worth 1 million VND) and many essential school supplies. The students were happy to receive new school bags and supplies.
At the same time, Sala Humanitarian Club and the Danang City Progress Fund (Dad RotaryFund) presented each school with a computer classroom with 20 computers with configurations that meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (total support cost of 280 million VND). This is a gift of great significance to students in disadvantaged areas, helping them to access information technology for the first time.
