The festival opened with an 11-a-side men's football tournament, with 11 teams of 220 athletes participating.

Go Quao town men's football team won the 11-a-side men's football championship.

As part of the series of activities at the festival, the People's Committee of Go Quao district coordinated with establishments and enterprises in the district to organize an exhibition of over 55 OCOP products, typical products, and potential products of 19 establishments and enterprises in the district; an increase of 25 products and 4 establishments and enterprises compared to 2023.

The festival also includes activities displaying images and artifacts of Khmer people; exhibitions and book displays.

The highlight of the Khmer cultural, sports and tourism festival in Kien Giang province is the 2024 Ngo boat race for men and mixed men and women on Cai Lon river. The tournament attracts 16 Ngo boat teams from districts and cities in the province to compete in the 800m men's, 800m men's, mixed women's and 1,200m men's.

On the full moon night of the 10th lunar month, when the moon rises high, the moon worshiping ceremony takes place in a solemn atmosphere at the grandstand on the banks of the Cai Lon River, Go Quao District ( Kien Giang ). Thousands of people attend the moon worshiping ceremony - the most important ritual in the Ok Om Bok festival on the festival day.

The beautiful water-land platform contest, part of the Khmer culture, sports and tourism festival in Kien Giang province in 2024, attracted 9 teams from districts and cities in the province. The teams include: Tong Quan, Soc Sau, Luc Phi, Thuy Lieu, Rach Tia, Ban Be (Go Quao); Khlang Ong, Khlang Muong (Chau Thanh) and Phat Lon (Rach Gia city).
