"If Anh Vien can do it, you can do it too"
Nguyen Thi Anh Vien said she was born and raised in Can Tho , a rural area of rivers and canals, where danger in the water environment always lurks when children do not know how to swim and do not know how to protect themselves. Aware of the importance of knowing how to swim and equipping herself with an important and necessary life skill, Anh Vien was encouraged by her family to learn to swim from a young age. "Anh Vien really wants to share with you that swimming has many benefits in your life. Let's learn to swim with Anh Vien, know how to swim and practice swimming to prevent drowning, improve health, develop physical strength and stature to be safe in the water environment and join hands to prevent drowning accidents. If Anh Vien can do it, you can do it too," Anh Vien shared.
Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that every year the city organizes a campaign for the whole population to practice swimming to prevent drowning in order to remind and promote the role and responsibility of all levels, sectors, families, schools and the whole society in developing the movement of teaching and learning to swim, contributing to reducing drowning accidents. "Not only practicing swimming, we also have to prevent subjectivity leading to drowning accidents. In the coming time, we will maintain regular popularization of swimming, preventing drowning accidents because Ho Chi Minh City also has a dense system of rivers, streams, canals and ditches. I hope that through this campaign, the city's people will actively practice sports in general and practice swimming in particular, contributing to improving health, physical stature and disease prevention," Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan shared.
