It is forecasted that by 7:00 p.m. on October 18, the tropical depression will move northwest at a speed of about 10 km/h, with the potential to strengthen into a storm, over the sea from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue, with the strongest wind near the storm center at level 8, gusting to level 10.

At 7:00 p.m. on October 19, the storm in the southern Gulf of Tonkin changed direction to move north-northwest, maintaining a speed of about 10 km/h. The strongest wind near the storm's center was level 8-9, gusting to level 11.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm continues to move in the West Northwest direction, traveling about 5km per hour.

The southwestern sea area of ​​the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai has strong winds of level 6-7, then increasing to level 8, gusting to level 10, rough seas. In addition, the Hydrometeorological Agency said that from the evening and night of October 17 to the morning of October 19, there will be heavy to very heavy rain in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Nam; in the areas of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai, there will be moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. From October 19, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the Northeast and North Central regions; heavy rain in the Central Central region will gradually decrease.
