The knitted fabric pouch, called the iPhone Pocket, is designed to be worn across the shoulder and allows users to place their iPhone inside the pouch for easier access and use, rather than stuffing the phone in a pocket or bag.
This is a collaboration between Apple and the company of famous Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake. The product will be available in blue, brown or black and will be sold for up to 230 USD (equivalent to 6 million VND).

In addition to the long version to be worn over the shoulder, Apple also introduced a shorter version for users to wear around the arm or tie to a bag. The accessory will be available in orange, yellow, purple, pink, and blue colors to choose from and will be sold for $150.
Apple says the 3D-knitted iPhone Pocket, inspired by “a single piece of fabric,” allows it to hold any iPhone and a user’s small items.

The birth of the iPhone Pocket reminds many people of an accessory launched by Apple in November 2004, the iPod Socks. This accessory is designed like a cotton sock, used to wrap and protect the iPod music player from damage during transportation.
iPod Socks were sold by Apple for $29 and were advertised by Apple as a “revolutionary product.”
At the time of the launch of the new iPhone 17, Apple also introduced a crossbody strap specifically for the iPhone 17, with a selling price of up to 1.7 million VND in Vietnam. Apple said the crossbody strap is designed to attach to the case, making it more convenient and hands-free to wear the iPhone. The small strap is made of woven fiber, crafted from 100% recycled PET fiber.
The iPhone Pocket will go on sale today in select countries including the US, France, China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the UK.
The sale of the iPhone Pocket for up to $230 has caused a lot of controversy in the online community, when many people think that Apple is selling an "exorbitant" price for an accessory that is not really outstanding. However, many opinions say that the iPhone Pocket is a fashion accessory, rather than a regular bag.
In fact, this isn't the first time Apple has caused controversy for selling accessories at unreasonably high prices.
For example, Apple is selling a screen cleaning cloth for 529,000 VND. Although Apple advertises that this cloth is made of soft, abrasion-resistant material that effectively and safely cleans all Apple screens, the price of this cleaning cloth still makes many people shake their heads.
