On the evening of June 10, the “fire pan” Bukit Jalil in the capital Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia will explode in the passionate atmosphere of football, when the host team welcomes the Vietnamese team in the framework of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Cheras District Police expect the highly anticipated match to draw up to 60,000 spectators to fill the stands and make for an unforgettable night.
With the huge number of fans flocking to Bukit Jalil, Cheras District Police Deputy Chief Ridzuan Khalid advised those not attending the match live to stay away from the roads leading to the stadium to ease traffic congestion.
For those lucky enough to have tickets, Ridzuan Khalid advised them to use public transport. In case they are forced to use private vehicles, fans should be patient, polite and strictly follow the instructions of the police.
Ridzuan Khalid also sternly warned that "vehicles will be towed away if found obstructing traffic." Illegally parked vehicles, especially along the roads leading to the stadium, will not be overlooked.
According to Ridzuan Khalid, the police have made thorough preparations to ensure a safe and enjoyable night of football. All entrances to the stadium will be open from 5:30 p.m. on June 10. Strict checks will be carried out at the ticket gates to prevent and seize weapons, alcohol or fireworks smuggled into the stadium.
“The police will resolutely carry out their duties to prevent those who deliberately incite or cause riots during or after the match,” Mr. Ridzuan Khalid stressed.
Before this fierce match, on the evening of June 9, the Vietnamese team had a familiarization session at Bukit Jalil Stadium. This is an iconic stadium with a capacity of more than 87,000 people, inaugurated in 1998 after 3 years of construction. Not only is it the largest football stadium in Southeast Asia, Bukit Jalil is also proud to be the 3rd largest stadium in Asia and the 9th largest in the world./ .
