Three sisters drowned

Three siblings drowned while swimming in the river in Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap . Authorities have only found the bodies of two of them, the youngest girl is still missing.

On the afternoon of May 28, Ngo Nguyen Ngoc Huong, 13 years old, and her two younger sisters (7-9 years old) were bathing in Ba Du River, in My Hiep commune.

After a while, the family did not see the children return, so they went to the river to look for them. Many people went down to the river to search and discovered that the two children had died.

According to the family, yesterday, the three sisters attended the school year summary, so today they invited each other to go swimming in the river. As of 6:30 p.m., the rescue team and Dong Thap Province Police were still searching for the missing girl.

Recently, there have been many cases of children drowning. Three days ago, three sisters in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City ( Binh Thuan ) died in a pond in the field behind their house. More than a week ago, four girls were also swept away by the water while bathing in the Song Quao irrigation canal.
