The Guardian newspaper on August 20 quoted former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as saying that the Democrats are making former President Donald Trump "run away", when speaking at the Democratic National Convention. Mrs. Clinton criticized the former Republican president's attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris. "Ms. Harris has said the motto that has always guided her: Kamala Harris is for the people. That is something Mr. Trump will never understand," said Mrs. Clinton, wife of former President Bill Clinton and a presidential candidate in 2016. "Therefore, it is not surprising that he lied about Ms. Kamala's biography. He mocked her name and her laugh. But we are making him run away," Mrs. Clinton said.
