The program takes place in Hanoi on July 23-24 with many activities such as: Commemorating the heroic martyrs at Bac Son Memorial; visiting President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. In particular, the meeting with delegates held at the National Convention Center will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television at 9:00 on July 24.
Among the 250 outstanding people nationwide attending the meeting on this occasion, Bac Ninh province had 8 delegates: Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Can (born in 1925), Trung Kenh commune; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dinh Thi Sung (born in 1942), Hop Thinh commune; war invalid Doan Thanh Xuan (born in 1951), Dai Lai commune; Mr. Pham Hong Cau (born in 1949), historical witness, Vu Ninh ward; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thi (born in 1950), victim of Agent Orange, Kinh Bac ward; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tri (born in 1932), person with meritorious services to the revolution, Ngoc Thien commune; war invalid Nguyen Van Dau (born in 1941), Lang Giang commune; war invalid Le Anh Tho (born in 1949), Da Mai ward.
Despite their old age and war wounds that have greatly affected their daily life and work, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, Agent Orange victims, people who have contributed to the revolution, and historical witnesses always overcome difficulties, build and develop economic models. At the same time, they are exemplary in life, actively participate in social activities, and contribute to building their homeland.
The meeting is a meaningful activity jointly organized by central ministries and branches on July 27 every year to honor the great contributions of meritorious people and martyrs' relatives; to demonstrate and continue the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude" of the nation.
