Mr. Diem Anh Tan, Head of WinMart Bac Ninh Supermarket, said that recently, the WinMart system has also linked with Techcombank to perform "one-touch payment" (contactless payment) on the Techcombank Mobile application, using NFC (short-range wireless communication technology that helps connect electronic devices or chip-attached devices together) or scanning QR codes. Customers only need to touch their NFC-enabled phone, go to the NFC Tag or scan the QR code at the payment point to complete the transaction without using a physical card or entering information.
With many modern conveniences, shopping at supermarkets and convenience stores has become a habit of many customers, both young and old. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu, 74 years old, in Zone 3, Kinh Bac Ward, shared: “I often shop for essential goods in supermarkets. Because the products here have clear origins, guaranteed quality, the shopping space is clean, civilized, payment is fast, no need to bargain”.
The form of selling through vending machines has been installed by a number of businesses in industrial parks and public areas. Many manufacturing facilities apply automatic sales apps on Facebook, Zalo, Instagram, TikTok. Many e-commerce platforms support sellers to create booths, post products for sale and manage orders, helping consumers shop online. Ms. Le Huyen Trang, owner of Tien Loi cake production facility, Bac Giang ward, informed that since setting up the "Tien Loi Fanpage" on Facebook, her family's "Tien Loi Cake" brand has become known to many people, and its products are selling well nationwide.
Focus on supporting digital transformation
Bac Ninh is a province with a relatively fast e-commerce growth rate, with an average growth rate of more than 12% per year. According to the Department of Industry and Trade, each year, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces (old) organized dozens of training conferences to raise awareness of e-commerce for hundreds of state management officials, enterprises, cooperatives, students. Over the past 4 years, the province has had nearly 5,000 enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households supported to create booths, promote and sell products on e-commerce platforms.
The province has more than 360 websites announcing sales of businesses and traders that have completed notification procedures with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. 100% of OCOP products and typical products of the province are promoted and consumed on domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms. The province's recent outstanding commercial activities are lychee consumption promotion programs. In the 2025 lychee season, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with Jin Pro Network Media and Entertainment Joint Stock Company to organize a series of programs "Top agricultural products - Agricultural products to the city" in Luc Ngan commune, promoting on media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube...
At the same time, many enterprises in the province have applied artificial intelligence (AI) to management, production, improving product quality and consumption of goods. For example, Alpha Vina Mechanical and Automation Joint Stock Company integrated Vision AI application with PLC system (controller designed to replace relay circuits, timers, traditional contacts...) into automatic product quality inspection. Thereby, completing the automatic production process, improving productivity, product quality, helping the unit to approach the market more effectively.
However, Bac Ninh is facing many difficulties such as: Some communes in remote areas have many hills and mountains, affecting investment in information technology infrastructure and the Internet. Most businesses and units participating in e-commerce platforms do not have a network management system, products and their booths on the trading floor. Online shopping or transactions on social networking platforms have not yet become a habit for people in remote areas.
To promote digital transformation application and promote trade promotion of the province, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in the coming time, the Department will coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology and specialized enterprises to promote the development of telecommunications service infrastructure for remote communes. At the same time, continue to improve and expand logistics infrastructure to improve service quality, especially in delivery and last-mile delivery services of e-commerce. The Department also promotes propaganda, introduction and support for enterprises and cooperatives to participate in the digital transformation program, develop the digital economy; organize training and develop human resources along with improving state management of e-commerce. In particular, focus on regional linkages, attract technology enterprises and quality digital human resources, create smart supply chains; expand the network of connections, create new opportunities for e-commerce and digital economy development.
