On November 10, at the 6th session of the 10th term Dong Nai Provincial People's Council, delegates voted to pass resolutions assigning competent agencies to implement investment projects to build Cat Lai Bridge, Dong Nai 2 Bridge (Long Hung Bridge) and Phu My 2 Bridge under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
Cat Lai bridge, Phu My 2 bridge, Dong Nai 2 bridge are expected to be completed by 2028.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Council passed a resolution unanimously assigning Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as the competent authority to implement the Phu My 2 Bridge construction investment project under the PPP form.
Assign the People's Committee of Dong Nai province as the competent authority to implement the investment projects to build Cat Lai bridge and the investment project to build Dong Nai 2 bridge under the PPP form.
The People's Council also assigned the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to be responsible for organizing the implementation of approved resolutions in accordance with legal provisions.
At the same time, it is requested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province organize members to monitor and promptly reflect the people's thoughts, aspirations and recommendations to competent authorities according to regulations.

Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province had a report on investment methods for building Cat Lai, Phu My 2, Dong Nai 2 bridges to connect traffic between Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, it is clear that all three projects of Cat Lai bridge, Dong Nai 2 bridge, and Phu My 2 bridge are expected to be implemented from 2025 to 2028.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee said that the main mode of transportation between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai is by road, but the existing roads are overloaded, causing constant congestion such as National Highway 1, National Highway 51...
The two localities are interested in directing the implementation of projects such as belt roads, highways, and regional connections, but they have not yet met expectations and traffic connection needs, especially when Long Thanh International Airport is officially put into operation.
In addition to public investment projects, calling on private investors to participate in implementing investment projects under the PPP method is being encouraged.
Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai have also agreed to implement the Cat Lai Bridge, Dong Nai 2 Bridge, and Phu My 2 Bridge projects to connect the two localities.
Phu My 2 Bridge Project is 14.8km long, with a cable-stayed bridge.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Phu My 2 bridge project has a total length of about 14.8km, including a cable-stayed bridge connecting the two localities.
Starting point intersects with Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Ho Chi Minh City. Ending point intersects with 25C Street, Dong Nai Province.
Total investment capital is expected to be about 16,445 billion VND.

The project is invested under the PPP method and capital from the budget of Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City. The project to build Cat Lai bridge and the two ends of the bridge has a length of more than 11.6km.
The Cat Lai Bridge project has 3 component projects with a total investment of more than 20,500 billion VND (including site clearance costs and loan interest) invested under the PPP method and budget capital of Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
The starting point is on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street (about 400m from My Thuy intersection, Cat Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The end point connects to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway (Dai Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province).
For Dong Nai 2 bridge project, there is a bridge and approach road with a total length of 11.8km.
The starting point intersects with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 at Go Cong intersection in Long Phuoc ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The ending point intersects with National Highway 51 in Tam Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province.
The total estimated investment capital is about 11,758 billion VND (including site clearance costs). The project is invested under the PPP method and the budget of Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
3 more bridge construction projects connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai
At the meeting, the People's Council of Dong Nai province also passed a resolution on agreeing on the policy of assigning the competent authority to use public investment capital to carry out 3 more bridge construction projects connecting Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
Agreed to assign the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Thanh Hoi 2 bridge and Tan An bridge (Tan An - Lac An bridge).
Assign Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to invest in Tan Hien bridge construction project (Tan Hien - Thuong Tan bridge).
