Discussing solutions to promote the strength of national solidarity

Introducing the discussion content, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that delegates focus on contributing opinions on the following contents: Title of the report, motto of the Congress; Assessment and supplementation of the situation of the great national unity bloc; Analysis and assessment to supplement and emphasize the achievements of the Front's work in the 2024 - 2029 term; Challenges and issues arising in gathering and promoting the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc in the coming time.

Regarding the direction, goals, 10 targets and 6 Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the next term, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that delegates discuss more deeply the content of Program 4 "Promoting the role of mastery and self-management of the people, building a united, prosperous and happy residential area"; Proposing tasks and solutions to effectively carry out the tasks of the Front in the next term; Recommending contents to promote the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc.

Speaking at the discussion, Mr. Nguyen Tuc, member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Culture and Society, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that the 2024-2029 term is a term with many changes. In that context, the Front not only successfully implemented the 5 Action Programs but also especially the unprecedented tasks.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tuc, the Draft Political Report needs to emphasize the results of the appeal and support for the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Project to build a Great Unity House in Dien Bien province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. In particular, it further emphasizes the role of the people, especially in residential areas. The Draft Political Report also needs to point out the limitations in grasping the situation at times and in some cases not being timely (such as the Formosa incident...); at the same time, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the lesson of taking the people as the root in the work of the Front.

Proposing solutions to promote the intelligence of Vietnamese people at home and abroad, contributing to building a strong and developed country, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, Chairman of the School Council - University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said that in the coming term, how can the Congress promote the intelligence of the entire nation to contribute to the Party, build a path so that the upcoming Party Congress is truly a compass to revive the country. Currently, the world context has changed a lot, especially the great impact of the 4.0 industrial revolution, the Draft Political Report must assess the opportunities of the country in the current context.

According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, in terms of national development, looking broadly at the experiences of countries such as Japan, South Korea... all developed from science and technology. Only high technology can create high value, with global impact. How to make high technology a lever, the guiding viewpoint of the Party for the country to develop. To do that, it is necessary to mobilize the strength of great national unity, in which the strengths of the Front are promoted, gathering overseas Vietnamese. At the same time, it is necessary to change the education and training program, improving the capacity of Vietnamese youth.

"The Vietnam Fatherland Front must be one of the channels to attract talents to carry out that mission, must gather "the spirit of the nation" in the Front; need to promote consultation with the Party and State, criticism, and suggestions for policy development to achieve that goal; promote movements, encourage people, especially young people, to actively study and improve foreign language skills", Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc proposed.

Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province spoke.

Emphasizing that Program 4 "Promoting the role of mastery and self-management of the people, building a united, prosperous and happy residential area" is very correct and appropriate, Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said that in the next term, it is necessary to emphasize promoting the proactiveness, positivity and creativity of each member, family and residential area to implement Action Program No. 4. In which, it is necessary to pay attention to and consolidate the maintenance of regular activities of local models.

Commenting on Program 6 "Continuing to innovate the organizational structure, content and methods of operation; improving the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels", Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, Vice President of the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association, suggested that the content of the Program should emphasize the role and improve the capacity of the grassroots Front's staff to adapt to the requirements of the new period. Because this is the staff closest to the people, listening to the people and conveying to the Party and the State.

Referring to the content of the speech of General Secretary and President To Lam at the solemn opening session of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029: "When the people need the Front, it is there, when the people are in difficulty, the Front is ready to participate", Mr. Huan said that if we do not rely on the Front cadres at the grassroots level, then when in difficulty, the Front's participation will not be timely. In addition, through the Front cadres at the grassroots level, it is necessary to step up propaganda so that people understand what is the "era of national rise", thereby gathering the determination of the entire people, ready to participate in response, contributing to the success in implementing the Party's policies.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that the Front in the next term needs to pay attention to organizing the work of the Presidium, the Standing Committee, the Advisory Council, specialized departments and units, and improving the quality of staff to assist in order to continue to perform the roles and responsibilities stipulated in the 2013 Constitution, the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front 2015 and sub-law documents. At the same time, in the 2024-2029 term, the Front needs to focus on monitoring, social criticism and people's diplomacy.

Acknowledging the enthusiastic opinions at the discussion, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that the Congress Presidium will receive and seriously absorb all opinions to synthesize, report to the Congress and complete the documents. Regarding issues contributing to the Documents, the Congress Presidium will study and absorb to complete the documents. Regarding the contents of recommendations and proposals of delegates to the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Congress Presidium will synthesize and have written recommendations to relevant agencies.
