Handing over clean site for construction of Hoa Lien Expressway

The Department of Construction Investment Management ( Ministry of Transport ) said that as of October 10, the land handover rate for the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project reached 92% (equivalent to 10.55/11.5km).

However, the scope of the handed over land is still limited, the remaining area is mainly related to residential land. The technical infrastructure still has 2 220kV power line locations that have not been relocated.

New project construction output reached more than 31% of contract value, 1.2% slower than planned.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (investor) said that, implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the functional departments and branches of Da Nang City are actively handling the remaining land clearance problems.

It is expected that the last 1km will be handed over in October 2024. The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan project is also facing difficulties in stone material sources.

To resolve this problem, the investor, together with the contractor and related parties, completed the procedures to request the increase of the quarry's capacity. Currently, the procedures are being submitted to the city's competent authority for consideration by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

"To ensure progress, the contractor is purchasing stone from Quang Nam for construction. The investor is also actively coordinating to find more mines to meet the material needs of the project," said a representative of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.

The 11.5km Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway is located in Da Nang City. In the phased phase, the project was invested with a scale of 4 complete lanes, 22m wide roadbed, 14m wide road surface, and a design speed of 80km/h.

In the completed phase, the project will have a scale of 6 lanes, roadbed width of 29m. Total investment is more than 2,100 billion VND. According to plan, the project will be completed in 2025.
