The Nutcracker - Dreamlands is the cultural exchange between the West and East Asia

Folk dances included in the Nutcracker - Dreamland

The play consists of 3 acts: The Festival at Clara's House, The Battle Between the Nutcracker and the Mice and The Victory Celebration. According to the production crew, the uniqueness of the Nutcracker version of Dreamlands is spread throughout all 3 acts, but the climax is the end of the play. This can be considered a synthesis of many beautiful folk dances: the coconut shell dance of the Khmer people (Southwest), gong dance (Central Highlands), Sinh Tien stick dance (Northwest).... These dances not only reflect the uniqueness of traditional dance art but also contribute to promoting and preserving the values of traditional dance in artistic life.

Dances imbued with Vietnamese identity on the modern dance stage

Chief choreographer Vu Hong Quan said that he and his crew had overcome many challenges to bring Dreamy Lands to the Opera House stage, with the desire to promote this art form to the public and create a playground for young dancers who love their profession. "We will not stop here. The ballet will soon return in a new, more perfect and brilliant version next summer," director Vu Hong Quan shared.
