ANTD.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to soon complete the amendment and supplementation of regulations related to electricity prices.

Early completion of amendments and supplements to regulations related to electricity prices

In Notice 348/TB-VPCP, the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai - Head of the Price Management Steering Committee at the meeting of the Price Management Steering Committee on the results of price management and operation in the first 7 months of 2023 and the orientation of price management and operation in the last months of 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to urgently complete the amendment and supplementation of Decision No. 24/2017/QD-TTg dated June 30, 2017 of the Prime Minister regulating the mechanism for adjusting the average retail electricity price, and report to the Prime Minister in August 2023;

Amending Decision No. 28/2014/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated April 7, 2014 regulating the structure of retail electricity prices, reporting to the Prime Minister in September 2023;

The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to develop a plan to adjust electricity prices and propose an appropriate adjustment time to limit the impact on economic recovery and development. At the same time, he directed EVN to continue to thoroughly implement cost-saving solutions and improve production and business efficiency.

Regarding the amendment and supplementation of Decision No. 24/2017/QD-TTg, EVN recently agreed with the contents of the draft Decision replacing Decision 24 on the mechanism for adjusting average retail electricity prices after adjustment, and agreed on the plan to adjust electricity prices every 3 months when input prices fluctuate.
