On December 1, the first Congress of Dong Nai Logistics Association, term 2025-2028 took place with the participation of 100 delegates representing enterprises operating in the fields of transportation, logistics, and seaports in the province.
Mr. Phan Dinh Canh, Chairman of Dong Nai Logistics Association for the 2025-2030 term, said that the establishment of Dong Nai Logistics Association is expected to become a strategic "bridge" between businesses and the government in developing logistics infrastructure. Especially in the context that Dong Nai is entering a period of strong acceleration in infrastructure, industry and trade when Long Thanh airport and the inter-regional transport system are gradually completed.

According to Mr. Canh, the association will deeply participate in key areas such as: Developing logistics services associated with digital transformation; forming distribution centers, ICDs; developing green logistics, agricultural logistics, proposing solutions to develop modern logistics services, closely linked with the supply chain in the Southeast region.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , assessed Dong Nai as one of the localities that is bold and has many advantages to develop logistics. According to Mr. Hai, in addition to roads and waterways, aviation logistics will be a distinct advantage, directly linked to Long Thanh International Airport.
“With the stature of Long Thanh airport, Dong Nai must aim to become an important freight transit point for the region and the whole country, thereby improving the competitiveness of the economy ,” Mr. Tran Thanh Hai emphasized.

However, according to the leader of the Import-Export Department, despite its favorable location, Dong Nai's logistics infrastructure is still fragmented and unsynchronized. For logistics to truly become the "blood vessel" of the economy, the locality needs to simultaneously develop hard infrastructure, soft infrastructure and digital infrastructure, from transportation, warehouses, dry ports to data management and supply chain connectivity.
“The logistics chain only operates effectively when there is a connection between commercial infrastructure, transportation and information technology. This is the point that needs to be focused on in the coming time,” Mr. Hai commented.
Dong Nai is currently among the leading localities in logistics services thanks to the advantage of having a large number of industrial parks, along with a series of key national transport infrastructure projects that are being and will be formed in the area. In particular, Long Thanh airport is considered a "magnet" attracting large domestic and foreign logistics corporations and enterprises.
