Lao press honors outstanding communist soldier of the Vietnamese people

Major Lao newspapers such as Pasaxon, the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Pathet Lao Newspaper, and KPL publications simultaneously published articles praising the great President Ho Chi Minh.

According to a VNA correspondent in Laos, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), major Lao newspapers such as Pasaxon (People's Newspaper), the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; Pathet Lao Newspaper, a publication of the Lao News Agency (KPL), have simultaneously published articles praising the great President Ho Chi Minh, such as "President Ho Chi Minh, the hero of Vietnam's national liberation, an outstanding soldier of the communist movement," or "President Ho Chi Minh on the path to finding a way to save the country."

The articles all affirm that President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, is an outstanding symbol of the determination of an entire nation, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the common struggle of oppressed peoples in the world , for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress.

For the Vietnamese revolution, Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh was a man of historic decisions at historic turning points. When the national struggle was in a deadlock regarding direction, Nguyen Ai Quoc (the name of President Ho Chi Minh during his revolutionary activities in France) found the way for the Vietnamese revolution.

President Ho Chi Minh founded the Communist Party of Vietnam , the brains of the revolution, founded the Viet Minh Front and the Vietnam People's Army, the force carrying out the revolution.

President Ho Chi Minh led the people to carry out a general uprising to seize power for the people, establishing a new state, a state of the people, by the people and for the people. President Ho Chi Minh was the soul of the Vietnamese people's nine-year long resistance war as well as in the struggle to liberate the South and unify the country.

The articles also affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh was a noble symbol of true patriotism combined smoothly with proletarian internationalism. President Ho Chi Minh devoted himself to building unity and consensus among the fraternal Communist Parties on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and pure proletarian internationalism; constantly fostered close and friendly relations with Laos, Cambodia and neighboring countries; and made outstanding contributions in both theory and practice to the communist movement and the national liberation movement.

President Ho Chi Minh was an outstanding, steadfast and extremely pure international soldier, who fought all his life for justice, peace and progress for oppressed peoples in the world. Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh has become a symbol of oppressed peoples in their journey to regain independence and freedom.

The articles also highlight that during nearly 30 years of living and working abroad, Ho Chi Minh-Nguyen Tat Thanh worked in many jobs, participated in many revolutionary movements of people in many countries, and at the same time constantly fought for the independence and freedom of his nation.

In 1919, under the name Nguyen Ai Quoc, President Ho Chi Minh sent the Petition of the Annamese People to the Versailles Conference. In 1920, President Ho Chi Minh participated in the founding of the French Communist Party.

In 1930, Nguyen Ai Quoc chaired the conference to unify three communist organizations, establishing the Communist Party of Vietnam. In 1941, President Ho Chi Minh returned to the country to directly lead the revolution, established the Viet Minh Front, led the uprising to seize power, and gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.
