According to the People's Police newspaper, speaking at the seminar, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Phan Xuan Thuy said that Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private economic development is considered a strategic turning point, when for the first time the private economic sector is placed at the center of a thematic resolution with clear orientation, specific goals and strong political commitment.

“Resolution 68 has mentioned many new contents about the viewpoints, goals, and solutions for private economic development, so the press needs to provide information in an accurate, easy-to-understand, and convincing manner so that all classes of people, especially businessmen, can access it clearly and fully,” Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized.

However, according to him, the actual implementation of Resolution 68 will give rise to new problems and difficulties in mechanisms, policies, or in the implementation organization in each agency, unit, and locality. Therefore, the press needs to boldly reflect on shortcomings, propose initiatives and solutions to contribute to perfecting policies, improving the business environment, and clearly performing the functions and tasks of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, which is to act as a "bridge" between policies and life, between the State and people - businesses, between the Party's will and the people's will.

Mr. Thuy emphasized that to achieve this, media and press agencies need to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda, ensuring objectivity, honesty and completeness. He raised the issue that the press needs to create widespread interest in society for Resolution 68, raise awareness of the role of the private economy and help the public understand the purpose and benefits of the resolution for the people, businesses and the country.

"The press no longer follows policy but must go ahead to pave the way, create positive images and trust in society," Mr. Thuy emphasized.

At the seminar, many delegates shared their experiences and orientations in communication work associated with Resolution 68. Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Radio quoted Tuoi Tre Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu as saying that the newspaper has built a cluster of key topics revolving around the following axes: policies, resources, startups - innovation, businesses going to the sea and corporate culture. The communication plan is divided into groups of large and small businesses, aiming to effectively convey and create changes in awareness in the community.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Nguyen Ngoc Anh stated that disseminating Resolution 68 is a key political task. The press not only disseminates the content of the Resolution but also contributes to eliminating prejudice, increasing trust and promoting action from the private economic sector.

Delegates also emphasized the need to innovate the content and form of propaganda, apply modern technology, and enhance professional training to ensure accurate, objective information that inspires the business community. At the same time, management agencies need to proactively provide timely information, creating conditions for the press to effectively perform its role in policy communication.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thanh Dat affirmed the pioneering mission of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the new development period. According to him, there needs to be close coordination between press agencies and departments, ministries, branches and localities because press agencies are eager to receive "orders" for information from state management agencies to promptly communicate policies. Local authorities need to proactively provide information on good models and good practices, and at the same time be receptive when the press reflects on existing problems, considering it a monitoring channel to help self-correct.

For businesses, on the basis of sincerity and mutual understanding, the press and businesses will together create value, convey messages to promote entrepreneurial spirit, and spread belief in the bright future of the private economy.
