Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 at Phan Thiet Primary School ( Tuyen Quang City).

Representatives of schools in Tuyen Quang city quickly reported to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the response and recovery work after storm No. 3. All schools proactively moved assets and teaching equipment to higher locations to limit damage caused by flooding. As soon as the water receded, the schools mobilized teachers, parents, and students to organize cleaning; rearrange tables, chairs, and teaching equipment, etc.

In Son Duong district, all schools suffered no damage to people, property, facilities, or teaching equipment. Storm No. 3 caused some schools to have their fences, garages, and trees collapsed; over 180 officials, teachers, and students in the district had their houses flooded. By the morning of September 12, 41 schools in Son Duong district had resumed classes, while 56 schools were still closed. It is expected that on September 13, all schools in Son Duong will welcome students back to school (except for some schools located along the Lo River dike).

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong shared the difficulties with the schools and praised the efforts and sense of responsibility of the teachers who proactively came up with plans and promptly implemented measures to overcome the consequences of the storm. He requested the leaders of the departments, district People's Committees, and related units to have plans to direct and support the schools to mobilize more human resources and means to speed up the cleaning and disinfection work, etc. to soon organize normal teaching and learning in the spirit that the schools must ensure electrical safety, have clean water, have been disinfected, and prevent epidemics before welcoming students back to school.

Y La Secondary School mobilized teachers and parents to participate in cleaning as soon as the water receded.

On the morning of September 12, 41/104 schools in Son Duong district organized classes and it is expected that tomorrow all schools will welcome students back to school (except for some schools located along the Lo River dike).
