Vaccination for dogs

Since the beginning of 2025, African swine fever has been recorded in 21 households in Long An province, with 738 sick pigs forced to be destroyed. Avian influenza appeared in one household, destroying 2,200 pigs. In addition, 1 case of rabies was also recorded and promptly handled and destroyed.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam directed districts, towns and cities in the province to urgently implement epidemic control measures, strictly handle violations such as buying, selling, transporting sick animals, dumping dead animals causing pollution and spreading epidemics.

Specialized sectors and localities effectively implement vaccination plans for dangerous infectious diseases such as avian influenza, rabies, African swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease, lumpy skin disease, blue ear disease, anthrax, etc. Localities must organize timely vaccination and supplementary vaccination for livestock herds at high risk or nearing the end of their immunity.
