The report at the conference showed that the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in Bao Loc City has always received special attention from the local Party Committee and government. Every year, the City Military Command has advised the Bao Loc City Military Service Council to direct wards and communes to focus on reviewing, grasping, and closely coordinating with departments, branches, and organizations to make a list of young people of military service age. Units and localities have organized and implemented closely and seriously with high responsibility in the work of propaganda, mobilizingand educating young people, clearly identifying eligible subjects for examination and calling for military service according to regulations.

Along with that, the officers of the City Military Command are assigned to be in charge of the area, grasp and manage well the source of young people of military age. Thereby, advising and evaluating from reality to ensure the quality of military service when receiving the quota assigned by the superior. On that basis, the City Military Service Council has specifically assessed, allocated quotas and assigned the task of calling for military service examination to each locality. Organize and implement well the round-robin military recruitment work on the basis of 3 votes and 4 publicity and follow the motto "Recruiting the right person".
To prepare well for the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2024, from the beginning of 2023, wards and communes in Bao Loc city issued preliminary call orders for 1,595 citizens. Thereby, 368 citizens who met the health requirements were selected to participate in the examination and calling of citizens to join the army.
In 2024, to encourage young people to be ready to join the army, the City Military Service Council successfully organized a military camp with many activities to arouse patriotism and a sense of responsibility for building and defending the Fatherland for young people; creating conditions for union members and recruited young people to meet and interact with relatives and friends before leaving to fulfill the sacred duty assigned by the Party, State and People.
As a result, in 2024, Bao Loc City has 135 young people leaving for the task of building and defending the Fatherland. Of these, 110 young people will join the army and 25 young people will be called up to join the police force. All young people selected for military service this time are in good health, including 25 young people with university, college and intermediate degrees; 3 young people are party members (1 official party member, 2 reserve party members) and 4 young people are ethnic minorities. Of the 135 new recruits leaving for the country this time in Bao Loc City, 95 young people volunteered to write applications to join the army.

Continue to promote propaganda work to help people, union members and youths understand the Law on Military Service; the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on building national defense and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; at the same time, perform well the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Bao Loc City People's Committee commended 12 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2024; commended 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the 2024 Military Camp; at the same time, awarded prizes to units with high achievements at the Military Camp; Bao Loc City Military Command also awarded certificates of merit to 10 individuals who excellently completed the task of military recruitment in 2024.
