Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper presented a map of Vietnam to Gia Lai province.

Receiving and working with the delegation of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang. Together with representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Education and Training; Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Bui Thi Hong Suong, said: When there was a policy of merging local governments, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper coordinated with the Vietnam Mapping Department to draw a new map of Vietnam. On June 13, 2025, the newspaper distributed 100,000 copies to readers and agencies and units to inform about the merger of local governments. In the plan to give away maps of Vietnam to 34 provinces and cities nationwide, Gia Lai province is the first locality where Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper donated maps.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong also informed that on this occasion, Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper will carry out a social charity program in Xuan An commune. Accordingly, the newspaper will give 411 warm clothes, 200 scholarships to students and 500 boxes of pork floss to their parents, with a total value of gifts of 270,420,000 VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang acknowledged the support of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper in the development process of Gia Lai province, especially its positive contributions in the propaganda work on the activities of the authorities at all levels. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the newspaper's articles on Gia Lai are always constructive, contributing to enhancing publicity, transparency and creating social consensus in the province.

Comrade Lam Hai Giang expressed his thanks to Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper for presenting the map of Vietnam and many meaningful gifts to students in Gia Lai province. According to him, the presentation of the map of Vietnam this time has practical significance, helping the locality clearly identify the process of reorganizing administrative units, while at the same time arousing the sense of responsibility of all levels and sectors towards the major policies of the Party and State.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong presented symbolic gifts to leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.

Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the charitable activities of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, especially the care for students in difficult circumstances in the context of the province having just experienced a historic storm and flood. The gifts given by the newspaper will be a source of motivation, fueling the students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.
